According to a 2011 UN Development Programme report, the Middle East has almost three times the global rate of investment in renewable energy, with indications pointing towards the region becoming a growing hub of ‘green activity’.

Taylor Wessing aims to help its clients benefit through its association with ESIA.
Taylor Wessing Middle East, the regional arm of the international law firm, will join the Emirates Solar Industry Association, a non-profit, non-governmental association that promotes solar power in the Middle East.
By joining the association, the firm will be able to gain an insight into the latest trends and developments in the sector, benefiting its clients that are active in sustainability.
A legal advisor to companies in the sustainability sector, Taylor Wessing is heavily involved in supporting its ‘green clients’ in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The majority of its clients are involved in renewable energy, e-mobility and sustainable construction techniques.
“Joining ESIA is a natural step, given our track record in this sector and commitment to the environment. We look forward to making a positive contribution and are confident that our membership of this important group will help bring us further value to our clients in the sustainability sector,” said Dr Michael Krämer, an energy specialist with Taylor Wessing.
